Macho Cleaners is a comprehensive brand and packaging design concept created to demonstrate professional-grade product development for the cleaning products category. Developed with the same rigour and attention to detail as international consumer brands, this concept project showcases our complete packaging design process—from strategic positioning and mascot development to EU-compliant labeling and retail-ready production files. Every element was crafted to international standards, proving our capability to compete with established brands in Malta and European markets.

Our Product Packaging Design Process
Designing Competition-Ready Packaging for Maltese Retail.
This concept project challenged us to create a cleaning products brand that could compete with international players like Fairy, Finish, and Ajax on Malta retail shelves. The brief required:
– Instant shelf recognition in Malta supermarkets (Pavi, Greens, Valyou, Lidl) – Clear benefit communication** for time-pressed shoppers (fast dissolving, ultra finish, powerful cleaning) – Full EU compliance with CLP labeling and Detergents Regulation requirements – Scalable brand system for multiple product variants, fragrances, and future SKUs – Premium positioning that appeals to Malta’s quality-conscious consumers – Retail versatility across standalone pouches, shelf displays, and promotional bundles.
This concept demonstrates our ability to handle every aspect of consumer product development from strategy to production-ready files.
Imagery:
Mascot: Hero crystal wine glass with star highlight, macro tablet duo, waterline wave; MACHO muscle mascot anchoring brand recall.
Shape and Layout:
Brand sits above the tear & reseal so it’s visible post-open; XL/x50 badge in the right third; benefits ribbon along the base; side panel with dosage table; back panel with full CLP text, GHS pictograms, recycle pouch icon, barcode and 900 g ℮.
Colors:
Deep navy/steel for trust & technology, electric blues for “clean glow,” red badges for call-outs (XL/x50, variant lozenge).
Typography:
Compressed, high-impact sans for headlines; clean geometric sans for body/claims; locked “DISHWASHER • CLEAN & SHINE” oval wordmark.
